This allows the overlying skin to repair resulting in a smooth – young wrinkle free appearance. Relaxation of the treated muscle starts within 2-3 days and the full effects can be seen within 12-14 days. Follow up reviews are done at 2 weeks to achieve great results and patient care. Botox is most commonly used on the following areas: Forehead Frown lines (between the eyes) Crow’s feet (side of eyes) It can also be used to treat: Cheek and chin dimples Upper lip (gummy smiles) Jawline Armpits (excessive sweating) How often do I need Botox? The skin rejuvenation effect of platelet-derived growth factors on tissue regeneration. These Growth Factors stimulate Fibroblasts in the skin to produce collagen, elastin and important skin contents to promote healthy younger looking skin. PRF can also be used to stimulate hair growth, combinated with microneedling, to improve skin tone and texture, as well as combined with hyaluronic acid (dermal fillers) for volume loss. Polynucleotides Polynucleotides boost collagen and elastin by improving the health and action of the fibroblast cells, resulting in tissue regeneration and restored skin tone and elasticity. It has an antioxidant and hydrating effect in addition to the bio-remodelling, therefore resulting in skin that looks and feels healthier. PDO Threads.png

Polydioxonone (PDO) Threads are a revolutionary development in aesthetic medicine. They are used to stimulate new collagen in the skin, giving a smoother texture, a brighter and tighter appearance and have also been proven to reduce pigmentation. As a result of the process the skin is gradually lifted and tightened to produce the desired effects. Although there are many types of threads, we use biodegradable materials which the body completely dissolves and removes. Whilst some threads are directly attached to the deeper layers of the skin to give an immediate pull and lift, others are placed in a specific form to stimulate collagen and give a gentle and gradual tightening and lift over 4-6 months. It is most commonly used on the following areas: Jawline Neck Upper lip lines (Smokers lines) Lip line shape Brow lift Nasolabial folds It can also be used to treat: Nose augmentation Chin Scars Cheeks Does it hurt? At Dr Huw Jones’ Clinic, everything is done to make any discomfort minimal. Topical cooling with the unique CryoJet or numbing creams can be applied. Local anaesthetic injections can also be provided to further reduce discomfort in certain areas. Can it be combined with other treatmetns? Whilst threads alone produce fabulous results, it is also a great treatment to combine with others. PRF, HIFU, Dermal fillers and Botox are often combined with PDO threads to create the desired results.

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) uses safe ultrasound energy to both lift and tighten skin by encouraging the skin’s own healing processes – without any surgery or downtime. This is a non-invasive procedure that can lift the skin on the neck, under the chin and along the jawline. It can also be used to lift eyebrows and improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles on the face and decolletage. The procedure encourages new collagen formation without disrupting the skin surface. It also tightens the layer directly below the skin (SMAS) producing immediate benefits. However, the full benefits will be seen from 2-3 months with the new collagen. Unlike laser treatments, there is no need to avoid the sunlight before or after. It is relatively painless and can be combined with other treatments to prolong effects which can last beyond 18 months.
