  • Platelet-rich Fibrin (PRF)

At the HSJ Clinic we use platelet-rich fibrin therapies to most commonly treat the areas around the eyes and mouth. PRF injections may be effective in delicate areas such as the tear trough, adding plumpness and improving skin texture. They can also be used to treat crow’s feet

PRF is also known as the “Vampire Facelift” although we prefer to use this treatment to improve skin quality. PRF is blood that contains higher concentrations of platelets and growth factors than normal blood which stimulate stem cells to produce collagen and blood vessels, in turn reversing the signs of aging. In many cases, PRF is performed with other procedures, such as laser, medical microdermabrasionmicro-needling, or HIFU to maximise results.

Most patients return to work in 2-3 days. If it is performed in conjunction with other treatments recovery will usually take about a week. Improvement is generally seen after just one session although we would recommend 2-3 sessions as an initial programme with maintenance every 3-6 months.

It can be an effective way to reduce wrinkles, especially when combined with fillers. PRF facial injections are minimally invasive and very safe. Remember, it is using YOUR OWN SERUM
